Checks a medical bill against insurance and tells you instantly whether to pay
Overview
I designed a system that checks a medical bill against a patient's insurance and tells them, right away, whether they should actually pay it. The core challenges were security and matching, so I built the secure data architecture and the national provider-matching approach myself. I also advised the FHIR and bank-data integrations with a staged compliance path.
The problem
Patients get medical bills they cannot verify, so they either overpay on charges they do not owe or stall on bills they do.
